Summary
The birthplace of mountaineering, Chamonix has been the scene of some of the most audacious feats and challenges. Lucien Boucansaud and Guillaume Pierrel embark on a unique expedition: linking the seven sacred Virgins of the Mont Blanc massif. These statues, perched on top of the steepest mountains, bear witness to a time when people sought protection and guidance in the high peaks.
Following in the footsteps of early mountaineers and the stories of iconic figures, they realise that these statues hold far more than just a story: they embody a universal heritage, blending exploits, beliefs, and mountain traditions.

Festival highlight
Linking these various emblematic Virgins of the Mont Blanc massif is to consecrate the seemingly useless. A poetic gesture undertaken by two mountaineers attentive to giving meaning to their adventures. And what’s more, they had the excellent idea of ??asking a few discerning witnesses to share their perspectives on these benevolent Virgins, sentinels of humanity on their granite summits.
