Le Moulin des Artistes
In competition
Summary
The film traces the journey of Peter Steltzner and Anati Graetz, founders of the artisan ski brand Rabbit on the Roof. Peter, a Californian cabinetmaker with a passion for the mountains, moved to Chamonix with Anati, a Norwegian artist, to create wooden skis that combine tradition and performance. Their workshop, housed in a former 17th-century mill, became an iconic location in the valley. In 2016, a devastating fire destroyed their home, workshop and artwork. Thanks to the support of the Chamonix community, they rebuilt their creative space. The film highlights their resilience, spirit of sharing and contribution to local craftsmanship. Today, their skis, true works of art, embody the soul of the Chamonix valley.
